Barry Bonds Indicted for Perjury and Obstruction of Justice Case

The federal government indicted Barry Bonds yesterday for perjury and obstruction of justice, charging him with lying to a grand jury about his use of performance-enhancing drugs. He could face 30 years in prison if convicted. The key piece of evidence came from a drug test Bonds actually wanted to take.

BALCO, the lab that would design a program of drugs for the baseball star, administered a steroid test to Bonds on Nov. 18, 2000. The test came back positive for two steroids. Investigators from the IRS found the positive test in the early phases of the BALCO investigation in 2003, giving them concrete evidence of Bonds' steroid use, sources said yesterday.

I don't have any sympathy for these bastards who shoot up with performance drugs to get ahead in the game. I hope he does get locked up and takes it in the ass!

Lindsay Lohan checked in -- and out -- of the Lynwood Jail. The actress was arrested at 10:30 AM and checked out at 11:54 AM. That's just 84 minutes, two more minutes than Nicole Richie! The time served was related to her wild DUI escapades this past July, when she commandeered a car in Santa Monica and took three young men on a wild high-speed chase.

Lindsay was supposed to serve 24 hours. She got credit for serving 1 day, and has to do 10 days of community service.

Why are the cops even checking celebrities in at all if they're only going to keep them there for less than two hours? They must have cut some kind of deal with TMZ where they'll get paid for mugshots, and bad mugshots at that.

Lindsay should really lay off the fake tan. She pretty much has a mustache and her neck is like three shades lighter than her face. Then again, it could just be bad makeup. Her eyebrows need some work, too, but her eyeliner's not half bad ... I'm only concerned with the most important details.

Dr. Jan Adams Appearance on The Oprah Show

I love lady O. I grew up on dat shit. But bitch needs to change things at Harpo Studios.

Oprah Winfrey has distanced herself from reports she introduced plastic surgeon Dr. Jan Adams to Kanye West's late mother.

Adams, who taped a segment of The Oprah Winfrey Show in October 2003, performed surgery on Donda West on Friday at the Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center in Los Angeles.

West died, allegedly from complications following the surgery, on Saturday.

Following reports she suggested Donda seek out Dr. Adams when she appeared on Oprah in 2005. Winfrey’s representative says, "The reports… are absolutely untrue. Oprah Winfrey did not personally introduce nor recommend Dr. Jan Adams to Donda West."

Personally, I never thought Oprah told Donda to go to "Dr." Jan Adams but that's not the point! Nope.

Dr. Jan is NOT certified. Oprah's staff needs to do their research before they bring guests onto the show. Instead of saying "the reports are absolutely untrue," she should vow to conduct more thorough research. An Oprah show appearance gives any and every guest notoriety and credibility. I'm sure "Dr." Jan told many future clients that he was on Oprah. Her show is a great marketing tool.

Maybe Oprah said much more and I'm only getting a little splice of her quote. All I know is, I'm sure Donda's death is making people think twice about plastic surgery, and I hope her death makes Oprah reexamine how her staff conducts their research.

Dr. Jan Adams Malpractice Suits, Impregnated Patient, Killed Donda West

Considering the terribly disturbing TMZ updates below. If your family member was killed while undergoing plastic surgery, would you want all this dirt to be dug up on your relative's doctor?

Can Kanye grieve for a minute before he has to find out what a disgusting fraud "Dr." Jan Adams was?

• TMZ has obtained a lawsuit, filed in Orange County Superior Court, claiming medical malpractice against Dr. Jan Adams.Terrie Cage claims on June 27, 2007, Dr. Adams and another doctor "negligently and carelessly examined, diagnosed, cared for, treated and performed surgery upon plaintiff, failing to follow the standard care ..." As a result, Cage alleges she was "rendered sick, sore, lame and disabled."Cage went in for breast augmentation, a tummy tuck and lipo.

• TMZ has turned up yet another medical malpractice lawsuit against Dr. Jan Adams, and this one is eerie.Bonita Hovey claims in December 2005, Dr. Adams and other doctors performed a tummy tuck on her and botched the job. According to the suit, filed in Orange County Superior Court, Hovey claims Adams and the others "negligently failed to possess and exercise, in both diagnosis and treatment, that reasonable degree of knowledge and skill that is ordinarily possessed and exercised by other physicians and surgeons ...

• The suit claims the defendants "failed to give the plaintiff proper preoperative and postoperative follow up care ... " resulting in a "postoperative infection" that caused her to undergo two surgeries to remove sutures and revise her scar.The suit claims Adams made a "false assertion that he was a board certified plastic surgeon" and she relied on that representation in choosing him.

• TMZ has obtained yet another malpractice lawsuit against Dr. Jan Adams, in which a patient claims she was deceived by Dr. Adams and Euclid Outpatient Surgery Center, because no one told her about all the malpractice claims against the doctor.In a suit filed in Orange County Superior Court, Jana Beighle claims she went in for "a left breast capsulectomy." She says Adams was her doctor, and she was never told he "had an undisclosed history of medical malpractice claims and judgments."The suit claims after the surgery in August, 2005, Beighle suffered from fluid collection and had to have her implants removed.

• In another stunning lawsuit, a patient of Dr. Jan Adams claims he got her drunk after surgery, had intercourse with her and got her pregnant.In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Teana Lucas claims she was a bartender and Dr. Adams was a customer. She says he agreed to perform liposuction on her upper arms and abdomen. The plaintiff, an aspiring model and actress, alleged as the procedure was about to begin, Dr. Adams "whispered in plaintiff's ear that he 'loved' her, that he was 'going to marry her."
  

• According to the suit, after the procedure, he started making house calls to her home. On November 24, 2004, the suit alleges Dr. Adams told her she should get dressed and that he was taking her out for dinner. After three glasses of wine, the heavily-medicated plaintiff claims she was "heavily intoxicated."
  


• That's when, according to the suit, Dr. Adams took her to his house and had sexual intercourse with her.Lucas claims she became pregnant and Dr. Adams wanted her to keep the baby but she didn't. Eventually, she says Dr. Adams referred her to an OB/GYN who could "take care of the problem."Lucas also claims he botched her two surgeries. She sued for sexual battery and malpractice.Adams denied all the allegations, but settled the case.

Dr. Jan Adams Killed Donda West

Dr. Jan Adams, the opportunist asshole who killed Donda West, didn't hesitate to contact TMZ where he could play the victim. Now very disturbing details have emerged about Dr. Jan Adams!!!

• Dr. Adams told TMZ her death, which followed a tummy tuck and breast reduction, was unforeseen and could have been caused by a heart attack, pulmonary embolism, or massive vomiting. Dr. Adams tells us West consulted with him over a period of four months. He says she changed her mind numerous times, sometimes greenlighting the surgery and sometimes halting it.As for the TMZ report that Beverly Hills doctor Andre Aboolian refused to conduct the surgery because of a medical condition that West had, Dr. Adams said of Dr. Aboolian, "He is sleazy and manipulating the truth to elevate his own importance."Dr. Adams says he did nothing wrong.

• The Medical Board of California filed legal papers last April asking to revoke or suspend Dr. Jan Adams' medical license because he was convicted of multiple DUIs, one in 2006, another in 2003. TMZ has also turned up a 1994 DUI conviction.In the accusation, the Executive Director of the Medical Board states Adams "has used alcohol to the extent or in such a manner as to be dangerous or injurious to himself and others..."


• In November of 2003, Dr. Jan Adams -- the plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West's mom before her death -- appeared on an episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show."


• Donda West's operation lasted eight hours -- twice as long as it should have. We're told Dr. Jan Adams began the operation Friday morning and finished Friday evening. He then sent Ms. West home, rather than to a recovery center, which we're told, would have been appropriate. Several doctors at Centinela Hospital where West was taken, believe the excessive amount of time it took to perform the procedure strongly suggests either something went wrong during the operation or the doctor was just too inexperienced.We're told she was dead the next evening at her home before paramedics arrived.What's more, Dr. Adams is not Board Certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

I'm not so sure I want to hear anything else. This is SO disturbing. I remember when I found out Donda was taken from her home to the hospital, I thought that was so odd. Plastic surgery patients need time in the hospital to recover. Now the truth comes out, not only did Adams not follow protocol by allowing Donda to recover in the hospital, he spent twice as long on her surgery than he should have? And she was found dead at home? So sad. She had no chance of survival.

Kanye West's Mom Donda West Dies of Plastic Surgery Accident

Here are the very latest Donda West updates on her death,

• Kanye's mom, may have died as a result of a "combined procedure." There are reports that one of the procedures was liposuction. We do not know the nature of the other procedure or procedures.

• Just weeks before Donda West died, a plastic surgeon refused to perform procedures on her because of a health condition that could have led to a heart attack.
  

• We've learned Beverly Hills physician, Dr. Andre Aboolian, was set to perform a tummy tuck and breast reduction on Ms. West, but told her she needed to get clearance from an internist whom Dr. Aboolian recommended. We're told West never went to that doctor, and subsequently had the procedures performed -- but not by Dr. Aboolian
  

• Donda West was at her home when 911 was called. At 7:35 PM Saturday night, paramedics responded to a 911 call and transported West to nearby Centinela Freeman Hospital in Marina del Rey. We're told it was a "sick person call." An unresponsive West was brought to their ER around 8:00 PM Saturday night. They attempted to resuscitate her, but were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead around 8:30 PM that night.

Donda West, Kanye West's Mother Dies Suddenly

Donda West, mother of Kanye West and former chairwoman of Chicago State University’s English department, has died. She was 58.Donda West died Saturday night in Los Angeles.

“The family respectfully asks for privacy during this time of grief,” the spokesman said. A cause of death has not been released.Donda West was known for the strong bond she shared with her son, by whose side she was often seen at parties and award shows. Kanye West, 30, often spoke of his close relationship with his mother, who raised him alone after her husband left when Kanye was 3.

She was the inspiration for the song, “Hey Mama,” on Kanye West’s 2005 album “Late Registration,” in which he sings: “Hey Mama, I wanna scream so loud for you, cuz I’m so proud of you ... I appreciate what you allowed for me. I just want you to be proud of me.”

Donda West frequently defended her son against critics who accused him of penning misogynistic lyrics and other purported transgressions.

“I support my baby,” she said in a Chicago Sun-Times interview. “He is telling how he feels and he is speaking the truth as he sees it.” In May, she published the book “Raising Kanye: Life Lessons from the Mother of a Hip-Hop Star,” in which she paid homage to her famous son.

Donda West served as chief executive of West Brands LLC, the parent company of her son’s business enterprises, and as chairwoman of the Kanye West Foundation, an educational nonprofit that works to decrease dropout rates and improve literacy.

Kanye West told the Associated Press in August that he and his mother worked together to devise the foundation’s first program, “Loop Dreams,” which helps public school students get involved in music.

“Me and my mother were discussing ways to give back and came up with the concept,” he said. Donda West worked in higher education for 31 years, before leaving academia in 2004 to help manage her son’s career, according to a biography on the Kanye West Foundation’s Web site.

She began working at Chicago State University in 1980 and eventually chaired the school’s English department, according to the site. She started her teaching career in the early 1970s as an instructor at Brown College in Atlanta. Kanye West’s writing partner Rhymefest lamented Donda West’s death Sunday in an appearance on Chicago radio station WCGI. “She was everyone’s mom,” Rhymefest said. “A spirit never dies, a spirit lasts forever.”

* Rumors have surfaced that Donda died due to an allergic reaction to anesthesia while trying to get a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. These are just rumors, we'll report the truth when it surfaces.
